En 1962, Johnny Hallyday consacre un album au rock américain dans sa version originale : des standards du rock qu'il chante en anglais. Pour parfaire l'ensemble, ces titres ont été enregistrés à Nashville, USA, la ville du rock et de la country, où est né Johnny Cash, où Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, les White Stripes et tant d'autres ont enregistré de nombreux succès.
